March 1993 – «UzDaewooAvto» JV registration.

June 1994 – Commencement of plant construction in Asaka.

March 1996 – Start of production Damas.

June 1996 – Start of production Tico and Nexia.

December 1999 – Certification of the quality system for conformity with the international standard ISO: 9001:1998.

May 2001 – Production of the 250 000th vehicle.

August 2001 – Start of production Matiz.

August 2002 – Start of production Nexia with DOHC engine.

March 2003 – Matiz nominated as “The car of the Year” in the Russian Federation market.

April 2003 – Certification of the quality system for conformity with the international standard ISO: 9001:2000.

August 2003 – Start of assembly Lacetti SKD.

June 2004 – Awarded the International Quality Summit – New York prize for quality, leadership, advanced technologies and innovations.

December 2004 – Start of production Matiz Best with 1 liter engine capacity and automatic transmission.

October 2005 – Production of the 500 000th vehicle.

February 2006 – Start of production Damas B150 model instead of Damas B100.

May 2007 – The Strategy Cooperation Agreement signed between the Government of Uzbekistan and GM Daewoo Auto&Technology.

July 2007 – Production of the 750 000th vehicle.

October 2007 – Start of assembly Tacuma, Epica and Captiva SKD.

December 2007 – Start of production Nexia and Matiz models with EURO III engine.

March 2008 – Establishment of GM Uzbekistan Joint Venture.

June 2008 – Start of production Nexia N150.
